A Mission and An Adventure

A classic discussion of the differences between mainframe and micro computing by Steve McConnell.  It has some interesting implications as we cycle into the world of centralized computing for Windows; notably, there are very clear reasons why programmers should NOT be developing on your Terminal Server.  This is an excellent philosophical paper for distributed-vs.-centralized computing issues.
